Tree Spirits

The tree carver is here. He has a couple of days in so far. Last week was extremely hot, but today is beautiful. It's coming along so nice, I can't wait to see it finished.

People, People, People

The house if full! I mean our house and the Tree House as well. Aaaaaaaahhhhh, aren't friends great. Don't laugh, I mean it. Our friends really are great people. Love 'em.

Sunday

Sunday at the lake.....my grandchildren are coming over this afternoon. Kim and her guest will be leaving the Tree House and Shauna and her family will be coming in at 6:00. My 5 year old granddaughter, Destiny, loves to help me straighten up the Tree House for the next guests, so I guess she'll be helping. She is actually so much help; because she thinks it is HER cottage. LOL

Summer is flying

Last weekend was the celebration of our independence. It was fabulous! Suddenly I find myself looking into August for days to stay at the Tree House. We are enjoying all the people who have stayed so far this summer. Can't wait to meet the rest of you :)

What a week!

A rather slow spring has turned into a CRAZY week. I guess people were just waiting...and then everyone got the Indian Lake bug this week. Oh, I'm not complaining. You are all too cute. Can't wait to see you.

Busy time

Well, it's a beautiful holiday weekend at the lake. People are everywhere! Sorry to the couple of inquiries about staying at the Tree House this weekend. We had been booked for a while. Hopefully we can have you all back at another time.

Have a beautiful holiday, get out and enjoy the great weather, and remember what this holiday is actually about. Just remember them. :)

It's starting

Our first renters of the summer are here right now. They will leave Thursday afternoon and the next comes in on Friday for the holiday weekend. It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend for them. I hope so. I'm getting pumped!

Rain, rain

A nice shower today. It's supposed to last most of the day and tomorrow. I knew we should have cut the grass...Oh well.

Spring Weather

Oh yes, let the thunderstorms begin. As we rush home, drag in the new baby tomato plants, close windows, and get the dog in from the deck; the wind blows and the rain pounds down. Things just seem to twist in the air. Thunder and lightening in the spring on the lake. Love it!

We're starting

I spoke with a couple of people today about different dates for their summer vacations. It makes me feel like summer is really on it's way. I'm so ready

Are you kidding?

Frost warning? Are you kidding me? Does the weather know that it is almost May? Come on now, the sun is shinning, which feels pretty good coming through the windows and it is beautiful, but it's still a little chilly. Keep your fingers crossed for a warmer weekend.

Rain, rain

Rain, rain for 2 days. Well, April has been really nice so I guess we had this coming. It's still dreary and boring. It is making things grow and bloom and boy is the grass green and, well, tall now.

It's Friday!

We made a little trip to La Pizzeria for a pizza. Probably one of the best at the lake. Keep it in mind when you stay with us. It's a nice drive around the lake. And it's worth it.

The Tree Stump

You may have noticed a rather large tree stump in the earlier post of Tarry trimming tree branches. We had to take out a dead cherry tree and it left us with this tall stump. Now we have a opportunity to have something carved into it. But what? We have been thinking but just can't decide. What are your thoughts.

Wing Night

Went to the Moose tonight for Wing Night. Tarry had wings but I went for the chef salad. It was a beautiful night to sit outside on the deck and watch the boats across the water. Yes there is a good reason I'm here.

Spring

Flowers are popping in the trees. Everything that has a bud is budding. Something I planted last summer is coming up again. I don't remember what it is but it's alive!

Trees, trees, trees

Just trimming out a dead branch. Who wanted all these trees?

What Happened?

Lets' see...we had beautiful warm sunny days and then some rain. Ooooooooooh look at that grass! Where did we put the mower?

The Sights

We went to Cranberry's Resort for dinner tonight with Tarry's brother and his wife. If you have stayed at the Tree House you may have met them. They live right across the street. On the way we passed a clump of trees along Rt 117 with a very large bird. Oh WOW! Have you seen the eagle? Awesome and Huge! Justing sitting in the tree and giving us the feeling that he owned everything as far as he could see. It was like we were intruding on him. So cool.

Sweet!!!!!

The trees are budding out and the leaves are on the way. We are in a bit of a funk, the cherry tree had to be removed before it landed on the Treehouse. We left the tree stump at about 6-7 feet off the ground to have it carved into something fitting for the cottage. Now we are searching for the proper carvings to fit the house. Any ideas?

Thunder and Lightening

Oh baby, here it comes. The first storm of the summer season is supposed to come tonight. I'm actually looking forward to it. I loves the thunder and lightening storms. Call me a sicko.

Easter Sunday

Having some fun on the bouncy balls the Easter Bunny left. We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day with the Grandkids at the Tree House on Easter.

SUNSHINE !!!!

Yes! We have waited (not so patiently) for days like this. It looks to be a sunny, warm day. And right into the weekend. I think we'll have our "Grandrats Easter Egg Hunt" at the Tree House this year. Although Avery (only 1 month old) may not be participating, :) We will make her parents do that. No candy for you sweetie.

Snow!!

AGAIN, well at least it is gone for now. Looking forward to a warm and sunny summer. A lot of boating and floating. The Treehouse will be getting a once over to update what ever is needed. New lights for the sundeck over the boathouse is first on the agenda. Got to go shopping. See you soon.

It's Happening

It's finally above freezing and I can see some dirt in certain areas. The squirrels, rabbits and birds sure seem to think something is happening. It's the first time we have seen the street in months. The email inquiries are starting to come in. That's a good sign that spring is coming!
